What I Can Do for Sellers

  • Suggest simple and inexpensive ways to make your home more marketable.
  • Prepare a comprehensive Market Analysis to assist in determining the market value of your home.
  • Place an electronic key box on or near your front door to allow access by licensed real estate professionals.
  • Input information about your home into MRIS (the regional computerized Multiple Listing Service).
  • Showcase Your Home in several prominent Internet sites including Weichert.com, Realtor.com, and Homesdatabase.com
  • Place a highly visible yellow Weichert FOR SALE sign on your property to attract callers.
  • Prepare Information/Sales Brochures to place in your home which include a picture of your home, the listing, disclaimer or disclosure forms, Special Features list, financing alternatives, and other documents as available including plat, home diagrams, bus routes, etc.
  • Call your neighbors to let them know. Often neighbors are a source for buyers.
  • Notify Weichert Relocation of your home.
  • Prepare and send Just Listed Cards to surrounding neighborhood and selected clients.
  • Promote your home to other agents in my office and with whom I come in contact.
  • Place your home on our Tuesday Office tour of new listings.
  • Advertise your home in a number of different media including the Washington Post, Homes Magazine, and the MEGA TOUR of Homes (Cable Channel 29).
  • Hold your house Open - Once every four to six weeks.
  • Use Weichert’s "SMARTSell" computerized mapping program which draws from our exclusive database to direct marketing activities to geographic "hot zones" where most of the likely buyers for your home are located.
  • Follow up with real estate agents (sales persons) who have shown your home.
  • Regularly update you as to any changes in the market (prices in your neighborhood, overall market conditions, taxes, interest rates).
  • Pre-Qualify potential buyers.
  • Make you aware of various methods of financing that buyers may use.
  • Represent you at the presentation of all contracts and assist you in negotiating the best possible price and terms for your home.
  • If you are planning to buy another home, assist you in your search.
  • If you are relocating, arrange a referral to another Weichert Agent or if outside of Weichert’s service area, to another local Realtor with whom Weichert has mutual agreements.
